AT LONG LAST

Don’t know how to work that odd, gallery-like room? Here are a few great ideas which make it glory 1. Probably the most striking element in this dinning area is the innovative light box. You can do it too get a budding artist at the local art school to make a line drawing for you, get it screen printed on flex(any small press in your city will do it) and rig it up with lights. 2. We also loved the warm, natural and lived-in feel of wood, especially the cosy window seat (with storage underneath). 3 .the architects have also added interest to the large window with the self to showcase collectibles and a ledge to berth plants.

YOUR OWN OASIS

Who says you can’t have a garden in your poky, suburban flat? Just find a nook-at the entrance, in the verandah or even in a quiet corner of your living room, and” landscape” your own little garden with some help from the maali. First, find a show stopping “planter” such as the miniature wooden canoe, a large piece of driftwood, or old wooden crates (from the local fruit market). Then get the maali to find you some indoor greens… nest the smaller ones inside the planter” and place the larger ones in a bed of smooth pebbles and stones that make more beautiful.
